HOUSE NUMBERS NEEDED FOR SAFETY FORCES!
At the April 12, 2006 Township Trustee meeting residents asked about the importance of displaying house numbers. Both our Fire and Police Chiefs stated that when responding to an emergency situation, large visible house numbers reduce confusion and the amount of time needed for our safety forces to respond.

"Finding the right home quickly after dark can sometimes be difficult" Fire Chief Robert Keller said.

During an emergency, seconds can seem like hours while waiting for safety forces to arrive. You need to do your part to help them arrive quickly. "The best types of numbers to display are those that reflect light" said Police Chief David Blough. Please take the time this spring to ensure that your house number is clearly visible from the street.

PUBLIC NOTICE
BRIMFIELD TOWNSHIP
Effective April 1, 2006

The Brimfield Township Zoning Department and the Brimfield Township Police Department will no longer relocate real estate and other signage out of public road right-of-ways as a courtesy. After April 1, 2006 companies and individuals that post signage within public road right-of-ways will be cited in violation of Ohio Code and Township Zoning Code.

State Route 43 Widening: Relocation of utility poles outside the new SR 43 right-of-way has begun, NO SIGNAGE shall be allowed in the NEW right-of-way or on EXISTING or NEW poles.

Tallmadge Road (County Road 18) and State Route 43 intersection: NO SIGNAGE shall be allowed in the NEW right-of-way or on EXISTING or NEW poles.

No warning will be issued to persons erecting signs in the Construction Zones. These signs if in the road right of way will be removed immediately.

The Construction and widening of these roads will be fast moving and even a small sign that is destroyed by big machinery could cause harm to the Road Department workers.

Please be courteous and adhere to these simple regulations that will insure the safety of all personnel involved in the construction and widening of these roadways.

For the Public Safety, your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
